Pretty neat! Don't touch that thing, you'll be sorry!

My dad saw a pod of Cabbage Heads floating on the tide, not far from the beach long long after we moved to Galveston. He'd never seen anything like it and wondered what those bobbing globes were, so he grabbed my mom's beach bag and swam out to the pod, scooped one into the bag and swam to shore to look at it. He was surprised to learn from a passerby that they were very dangerous in pods and when they stung, they caused horrible pain and swelling. Being the gentle man my dad was, he gently put the jellyfish back in the beach bag and swam back to the pod and let it loose with the others...much to my mom and the beach-goers horror. :-)

I wonder if jellyfish tastes like jelly ?...nah, probably not ! Intriguing find and nice light play on the wet sand, but I kinda feel a bit sorry for Mr Jelly though... Well done & ~Cheers~

What a great shot Kort and a very odd thing to find stranded... One usually only see pieces of dead jellyfish!

Yes, don't touch it at all costs. Photographing is much better. Great capture. Aloha

Cool fortuitous capture, Kort, of hopefully not a Portugese Man-o-War, with those long stinging tentacles. I like the texture of the water.
