Also along the bay are lots of Lupine plants, the deep purple kind most common around here. I kinda (??!!) fiddled with this shot, and ended up liking it a lot!!

I love lupines, wild and not so wild...ours haven't bloomed yet here, but I remember when spring came in California and the hills were glorious with poppies and lupines. I love the postwork on this!

What beautiful colors and details! Whenever I see lupines, I'm reminded of a skit by Monty Python in which a highway robber declares "Stand and deliver," then demands your lupines! Inspired comedy! But all comedic stuff aside, this is brilliant and filled with really great color!
