Description

Still busy, still don't have much time to perusing this fun hobby for putting a full scene together. Been mostly doing random test and sample renders. I had begun putting a full new scene together (over the span of several evenings), then came across a bug in the C8 beta that pretty much halted the work on it. But thats why its a Beta, and not released yet. Anyways, in my pursuit to try get the scene finished and rendered, a fellow forum member - Tim Payne offered some different lighting techniques and combinations, with a net result of potentially better render quality and quicker render times. So here's one of those random test renders with a new lighting technique. Still uses one sunlight, and no postwork either. Lemme know what you think of it. Good, bad, honest, critique Think its a big enough difference to consider it as another milestone in learning and improvement?

That just awesome! There is a great feeling of depth, the light settings with shadow work and detail of textures is of high quality. Most excellent test work, looking forward to more.

I find it a challenge to get the light just right, so this one brings some jealousy to the surface.. Terrific work My Friend.. Sending green eyed monsters to haunt You...!

Thanks guys ;) Outfit is Complicated Eve by Uzilite @ Daz by the way; with some of my own tweaking for optimal Carrara shader Had forgotten to list any credits used before i racked out... Altec: I'll try finish some of these test renders. I've got some requests and dedi's to finish up too ;) Noel You've got some jaw dropping renders too, where the lighting makes the whole scene surreal. Your right though, lighting is always the hardest challenge. I'm trying new techniques, though I'm far from out of the woods yet. The more stuff I add into a scene, I constantly have to adjust and balance the values.

That's very impressive lighting. Wish you'd posed the girl better, though.

thanks for the comment.. yes the branches are low.. that makes it fun to go through and around... Because of the coldest may month in ages (after a very cold winter) the trees are not full of leaves yet. .. so that is a little luck for us. Your image reminds me of the movie Doomsday Nice
