As a picture in itself, the lower part of this is fine. As the book cover, I would say, that there is too much space between the title and the hero. That may of course be a personal taste, but I'd say, that if you enlarge the illu upwards, you get a better cover. It may mean that the tentacle or plant to the right will "stick out" of the cover, but that will heighten the drama in this.
