Description

Scotch Broom, along the marsh on Humboldt Bay (Arcata, California). This is a gorgeous plant, comes in all kinds of colors. Unfortunately, it's not native and is very invasive, along with pampas grass and other species that have taken root.

I like it, though; I would imagine that in the very beginning NOTHING was native, so who's to say what should and shouldn't grow where it does? Excellent shot!

Luckily each plant is quite short-lived..which is maddening if you've splashed out on a posh hybrid!
