Description

Walking thru the redwoods is such an amazing experience. The light is filtered for the most part, but there are places where the sun breaks thru. This is one of those spots--it's full of light, and the rest of the forest seems to fade away.

Oh, we have to visit you and your big trees one of these days. Fascinating subject and proof positive that it is dark in the Redwoods.

I love these scenes; I know what you mean about the extremes of light and dark! It's a real photographic challenge. Nicely done!

I know how hard it is to catch something like this without overexposing or underexposing one portion. You've managed to capture both the light and darrk perfectly.

This is enchanting! Is the redwood forest considered an old growth forest? It must be if its dark, and well...those Redwoods themselves aren't exactly the newest kids on the block! I love the shadow and the way this light just bursts right through it, boldly but elegantly as only Nature can manage. You caught this so perfectly and I can't believe I didn't see it until now. Sometimes I wonder about me!
