Description

another sci-fi cityscape.. this scene was made in a couple days..using mostly instanced geometry ,one dome, copied, flipped etc. the ship..as with all my spaceships is a quickie made in a couple hrs,so looks pretty rough close up. the figure on the left is a commercial (daz3d) model. Rendered at 8k with finalRender, heavy post in Photoshop Cheers! Stefan

I scan through the galleries and see a lot of very unimpressive work. Then I happen upon this...wow!

Great cityscape. I can't blame the woman holding onto the antenna. Those high heels would add to the vertigo she must be feeling on the edge of such a precipice. What's funny is that my first impression was that she was holding a spear in the style of those 70's sci-fi illustrations where some futuristic city scene would be guarded by an officer with a spear (or spear-like object). George Lucas even had one guarding the rebel base in the original Star Wars. Also love the glowing city in the distance.

Cool creation Stefan yet still not your strongest IMHO, but a few things that dont look quite right are the hardlight from the shuttles nose yet no hard shadows on the trees etc & I get the feeling the imported figure is overscaled in comparison to her surroundings. However if it is as intended then its a fine piece of work. great compositionl balancing of elements with enough details to depict intracies yet also a good sense of depth. I strongly admire your cyber-architectural works. Look forward to more;-)

i love the deliberate composition distances. foreground, midground and background all seem designed with deliberate care. the eye travels in a loop through each section very easily, and returns to the foreground.

BRAVO Stephan, ace scene ! I think having that wind blown girl there, is great and draws your eye from the kool vista to her and back agian. Your Shuttle 43 doesn't look too cheesy at all and adds another point of interest in this detailed scene. The atmosphere looks like a Vue one, did you use the Vue Xstream plugin ? or is this totally Max ? BTW, the domes remind me of something I saw @ ZbrushCentral, did you get the idea from there or was that your own creativity...yeah, I know a lot of questions, which you probably won't answer, but I just gotta learn more to get anywhere near your standard...LOL Anyhow, extremely well done & ~Cheers~ from Downunder :o)
