Description

1902 Mercedes-Benz - 4 cylinder, 40 horse power, top speed 85 MPH, 4 speed transmission with a chain drive. This is the 2nd oldest drive able Mercedes-Benz or at least when this photo was taken. Part of the display at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. We arrived safe and sound in New Hampshire, after a 1,706 mile drive north. I tend to take a different route each trip. Now to start the process of catching up on commenting. Photo taken April 1998 - with a film camera and recently scanned. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments. That is a VERY long drive!! Glad you made it safely!! I think I saw one of these at the auto show here last summer, or at least it was very similar. They've changed a bit over the years!!

It's drivable?! How cool is that! What a beauty! You really caught it well here, it looks incredibly "present" if that's the right description. I think it is the details that you captured in that particularly all-revealing light. This is marvelous. I wanna go for a spin in that thing! It's good you're safe and sound after so long a drive! I'll bet you snapped some pretty great pictures along the very long way.

Despite the rope barrier, a stellar POV and clarity in this shot of the joyous fun drive, Dana. This makes me want to get out and take some automobile fotos, as if I didn't have thousands of them already.
