Description
Posed and Rendered in Carrara.
This has been a labour of love for me for a couple of days now. I was unable to render the scene originally because for some reason Carrara crashed my pc. After messing with the render settings and removing the side of my pc so it didn't get so hot I managed to get the final version you see here.
I did contemplate adjusting her left shoe but I think it looks right that it's "sinking" into the gravel.
I hope you like.

"... because for some reason Carrara crashed my pc." Don't you just luv' when that happens. ;-) I am glad that you got back on the horse and brought the render through at last; it is a fine work. Here again we see the three aspects I was refering to in the image before this one: simplicity, aesthetic composition and attention to shading. We only see in this scene that which informs us of the location. Even had you illuminated the details of the building this would have weakend the image with unnecessary distraction. Your figure is positioned exactly where and as she should be. The arch from the stones up through the blade forms a visual partition that is appealing and interesting to the eyes; barely breaking through the right third of the frame. Then there's the shading. Filling in the shadows with bright sunlight would have left nothing to engage the mind. Nor would bright light leave us any drama, your character would have simply appeared frozen in place. As you have lit her there is a true sense of dynamic motion .. which is accented by her dug-in heel. :-) I do enjoy this vision .. and already look forward to your future works. With warm regards, Terry
