Description
Old steel telephone dated 1942. I never clean under the dial as it is fascinating to see the finger swooshes from so long ago:)

Mmmm! Finger swooshes. Of Course! how lovely, my peculiar friend! When we moved in to this house my Great Uncle Percy had a phone like this (1949). Now mine tells me who is calling so I don't need to answer if I haven't stored the number, and has 8 ringtones which i have assigned to various people(for the same sort of antisocial reason!)

I remember a family friend who dialed her telephone with the non-writing end of a pen. Totally different patterns on her phone.

This is terrific, super cute, funny and unique Cynthia. An outstanding capture. This turned out great. Brings back fond memories. The lighting is perfect. Truly cracks me up. In 1942, we only had five numbers. Mine was 49208. You had to get an operator to call long distance. Really farout image. Huggs... Silkylady..
