Description
Taken today at the Graue Mill & Museum, pronounced grawee.
It was an extremely interesting visit, the history of the mill goes back to before the civil war and actually was one of the stops along the underground railroad.
You can read more about it here if you are so inclined http://www.grauemill.org/
A pleasant and unexpected surprise was that they were also having a sheep shearing and wool spinning demonstration as well. So I got all sorts of history lessons today.
Thanks (as always) for looking and your comments.

I love the way you're using IR. It's not always my favorite thing, but in your hands it seems to make perfect sense! This is a wonderful image.

What a beautiful historic mill, re-discovered by you and that is not all... you got the bargain of a lifetime, having also witnessed sheep-shearing etc. My guess - we will be seeing some of those pics as well ? looking forward to it. Another fantastic image to add to your collection of IR's, I like this one best - so far ! BB

I love water mills. I haven't visited many of them, but there's one in particular (quite a long way away from Chicago) that I love. The idea of doing this in IR is superb. It makes something old and venerable seem new and snazzy and exciting, while maintaining the venerable, classiness of it. This is quite amazingly good work.

I checked out the web site you gave to find out where this was located, which I found to be in Illinois, nice web site. Great series of photos.
