Description
An interior shot of the Graue Mill & Museum. Fortunately they were not too busy so I got several shots of the wonderful interior woodworking. (zoom would be good here)
All the wood came from lumber cut down during the building of the I&M Canal, the logs were hooked up to horses and drug for aproximately 8 miles to the mill site.
All the bricks you see were hand made at the mill site as well.
Thanks for looking and comments.

Love it. It shows the ingenuity and craftsmanship of an era past. A wonderful image of history.

This is a zoomer, to be sure! I love all of the details and textures. What really gets me is the light, and the way it plays over the different surfaces, revealing some fully and giving only hints of shapes in other places. This is really well-seen work and I like the composition. You get just enough to see what you're looking at, but not so much as to prevent further exploration. This is marvelous. The craftsmanship is well captured here too, and it makes me wonder what skills have been lost, especially since there are cheaper and less human-centered ways of making things now.

I get the distinct impression of looking at a dolls house, so neat and perfect, if I didn't know any better... What a magical find, glad it's being preserved as a Museum, (I also know a bit about hand-made bricks, just great) BB
