Description
A little digi-fiddling with this one .. taken in early spring when there were still bits of snow here and there on the ground. Did a sketchy-oil painting thing with it in FotoSketch, lightened and brightened in PSP using an overlay blender thingy .. so is it still a photo after all that???
Packing up to go to the Hollow tomorrow .. the weather promises to be sunny, no rain, and hot all week. Probably be gone for at least 5 to 6 days. You all stay safe, make lots of fabulous art, and I'll try to catch up when I get back.
Many thanks for the all the faves and all the lovely comments on the previous photo from the Hollow. It's all so much appreciated, and spurs me on to try more new things.

You did a great job on this one Rita! The atmospheric effects are stupendous. Love them! I think you should compile all your work based on the Hollow and publish a coffee table size book. It would be super, especially with your commentaries. Have a great time at the Hollow and bring back lots of amazing images. Always look forward to your work!!!!!

and now as it begins to warm here and the damp ground heats with the sun, it will have a fabulous earthy scent. For now, it has a wonderful earthy feel.

This really requires the full size view. When you pull up the larger size, the postwork gives it a strange, super-realistic quality. Looks too like all the branches are coated with ice...they seem to have so many parallel reflections. Very strange, like it's deceptively peaceful, drawing the unwary into that sharply focused point of green grass.
