Description
The skyship made its final approach and glide into its parking berth. Greg and Hans both looked up at the cliff where the Oracle had been but he was gone. A strange feeling came over them as they were about to leave the ship. An irresistable urge to jump into the water pulled them to the edge of the ships decking. They looked over the edge and there was the Oracle standing waist deep in the water a ways away from the ship. In the blink of an eye, Hans and Greg were standing next to him, bewildered and totally astonished! The Oracle spoke.
'You seek my assistance, questors? I have heard of your quest before your skyship appeared over our city. I will gladly help you anyway I can,' the Oracle said, in a melodious and very reassuring voice.
Hans and Greg looked at the Oracle and they couldn't take theirs eyes off him. His body seemed to have a glow about it that messmerized them. Strange thoughts ran through their minds. Visions of obstacles that might impede them on their quest. Many clues, seemingly unrelated, flashed through their minds as well. There were many places they could go to find help so they could reach the central city of the Supreme Overlord King, but there were many obstacles they would have to overcome as well. If they chose their help wisely, they would succeed. If they didn't, they would wind up back in their own dimension without the promised reward.
Hans seem more smitten with the Oracle than Greg. He was the first one to speak.
'You seem familiar for some reason, Oracle. Have I ever met you before?'
'I don't believe you have in this lifetime. You may have read about me as a figure in your mythology. I have been around for quite awhile. I left your dimension many seasons ago, so long ago I have lost track of the time. I find this dimension to be much more to my liking anyway. The inhabitants are much more appreciative of my help than your dimension was.'
Greg and Hans pondered the Oracles statement and then Greg exclaimed,'You must've been an ancient Greek god, for you have the look and bearing of one!'
'Perhaps there might have been some of that in my past. I ceased thinking about those times long ago.'
Hans was too excited to speak at first. Finally, he mumbled 'Were you Apollo, or are you Apollo?'
'That is a name I haven't heard in a long long time! It brings back some long forgotten memories. I am afraid you are just a little bit too curious, young gentlemen!
There was a loud clap of thunder and a flash of light and suddenly Greg and Hans found themselves in a pitch black setting. Neither one of them could speak. They couldn't see each other, nor any part of themselves, it was so dark.

Wonderful picture and the water is outstanding. I love all the blues. You are a very good story teller but you are leaving us at the cliffs edge? I didn't expect that, it's a huge surprise. Something to look forward to though for next time. Can;t wait.
