Description

After several weeks of on/off exploration of various bluebell woods in the region waiting for the right conditions and for the flowers to be at their peak, this weekend I finally managed to get the shot I've had in mind since the start of the season. In all I ended up using 5 exposures in the blend for this shot though this was mainly to remove my finger from the image and reintroduce the sun in its place (the idea being to minimise flare as much as possible). Painstaking work but I'm pretty happy with the end result so I guess that makes it worthwhile :) Adam oh... and it seems this would be my 300th image in my gallery here :)

My finger... what I mean is I shot additional exposures with a pointed finger just covering the sun, from top and from the left... what this achieves is cutting out flare, retaining contrast in the foreground and across the rest of the image... I then shot another without my finger, which is the exposure I used for the sunburst... the tricky bit is blending them all together using masks :)
