Description

Took this photo yesterday in the rainforest of Tirimbina in Sarapiqui, Costa Rica. These guys are amazing! They have huge colonies and they sweep areas from all life. You have to move out of their way or they will carry you with them - in pieces. The photo has some motion, but this effect describes them well as they will not stay still. Hope you like them and thanks for any comments!

Stunning photography! I love the motion blur you captured; I'm quite familiar with trying to photograph ants that just refuse to stand still!!! And these are two beautiful specimens. I'm glad you photographed them and managed to avoid the entire colony as it swept everything clean!

They certainly look well trained, and their uniforms are identical! Another dangerous army!
