Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This really reminds me of one of the old houses I know from Galveston. Outstanding work. Great eye.

Beautiful house. I like the old ones. Fantastic post work, looks a little like a doll house.

I just finished thinking about ghost stories so naturally this photo looks rather ghostly to me:) Very nicely done. Glad you got to stop this time.

Are you sure the Thunderbirds aren't hiding under there somewhere. If you were not a fan, they were these awesome puppets who saved the world from impending doom! The palm trees would go back at a house like this, and the Thunderbird craft would appear! Have a look here!!

Well seen! This has a very dreamlike quality, well done!

Looks like a doll house :) quite unique

Pristine and Spartan in nature with no fancy gingerbread, Marilyn. In fact, it doesn't even look occupied.

This is superb! Well seen and bravo for the "middle of the road" stint!

I love the way this turned out ... it's totally surreal! Looks like a poster for something ... oh ... did you ever read the Martha Grimes books that took place on the Gulf? That's what it reminds me of. :)

Oh, I like your tweak! It was gorgeous in its original state, I can tell, but you've turned this into Salvador Dali's beach house, only without melting clocks or elephants on stilts. I really like this. I agree with Tara, this DOES look like a poster or a book cover, as a poster, I imagine it would probably be a really good movie starring Judy Davis, but that's just me. Now you've got me to thinking about writing! I want a book cover like this!

It's simply heavenly.
