Description

This is another shot from the pier in front of our Cape Town Hotel. I can soooo get used to a view like this! The cloud blanket on Table Mountain lifted especially for me to catch the cableway station at the top. The apartments in the foreground on the marina sells for anything between ZAR8-15 million!!! Yikes!!! The hill in front of the mountain is Signal Hill. Thank you for your wonderful support in comments and favs on my upload of yesterday, "A Lovely View". Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

The prices is just ridiculous. I agree with you Carin. Such a view to be seen every day can only be a Blessing from the Lord. Outstanding capture Carin.

This, like the piece you posted before it, is amazing! What colors. Table Mountain looks particularly impressive, and fairly young if the crags and wrinkles are any indication. I'm intrigued by it and how dark and staunchly individualistic it is against a lighter foreground and nicely blue sky. I like the rocks in the foreground. Those rocks and the mountain provide an interesting frame for the rest of the image, especially the white walled buildings. Nice light too! In short this whole picture is quite gorgeous.

It's a gorgeous view, but nowhere near worth that kind of price...something is just inherently wrong with humans thinking they own a piece of the earth, much less a view of it!

I've seen a lot of photos of Table Mountain. None expressed it's looming presence as well as this.

Nice shot...I like seeing where others go for a change of scenery. I trust after recovering from leaving your camera home you enjoyed your time away a lot! What a rich landscape. Having a wonderful time with tk:)

A superbly magnificent capture of the bright manmade construction contrasted against the dark but glorious decor of nature's mountain and overhead clouds, Carin! Flatlike mountains like that are called mesas in New Mexico. And, we also have a populated area called Signal Hill, located in Long Beach, California.

WOW!!! Fantastic contrast between the apartments, Table Mountain and the sky. And there is a tram up to the top of Table Mountain? Can we hope that you have a shot from up there to show us? If a little rusty on my international monetary conversions - those apartment would go as high as 2 million US$ - they would have to be very special. Dana

Per Harry's comments, of course Mesa is Spanish for Table. Our Signal Hill is not nearly as pretty as yours. I was hoping you'd get a clear shot of Table Mountain. Spectacular view which I'm sure only adds to the price of the real estate.
