Description

Camps Bay in Cape Town is fondly known as "Little South Beach"!!! (as in Miami) This small piece of beach is lined with pubs and restaurants and if you have been to both Miami's South Beach and Camps Bay, you can definitely 'feel' and see the resemblance! It was already quite dark when I shot this image on Monday evening but the little borrowed point and shoot camera behaved very well! We went here for sundowners and dinner! It was a marvelous evening with loads of good Cape wine and fun! The mountain is actually the back side of Table Mountain and if you look carefully, you can see the cable car station at the top! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

I've been to Miami's South Beach years ago, and I do see the resemblance with one MAJOR difference:) As you know,...Florida doesn't have much of any landform higher than 10 feet above sea level. But I am up for sundowners most anywhere and anytime...tk and I will be there:) Nice shot!

What a wonderful little spot! I also love these communities. Though I've never been to Miami or Capetown there are several spots like this in Southern California on the beaches and they're great fun!

Looks like a great place with a fabulous view. I'll wager you don't have the same number of artificially enhanced young women as our South Beach. Fantastic image.

Hehe... Clive, my shoes were actually left behind before I stepped onto the sand. I must have been a sight for sore eyes - all neatly dressed in work attire with no shoes!!!! I just had to feel the sand.... :):)
