Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Superlative POV employed in capturing the cool clarity, colors, detail and texture in this fine composition, M. I assume you sit right at the crest of the little berm separating the beach grass when you go to visit and ruminate over life in general.

very beautiful capture

Its exactly the sort of spot I usually search for when I on the coast here. As you say, this is a place where the wind is broken and the view is still there. Fabulous feel to this and very comfortable.

Yes it's great to get out of the wind, especially when that wind is icy cold.

Wonderful contrast between the sky, waves and the multi textures in the salt grass/sand. Dana

I also love the dunes; wonderful shot of this great spot!

I like this. We don't have many quiet spots near the beaches here, but then our beaches aren't as big either. This is a great "just being there" spot and I'd probably spend hours there too.

I like to get belly down in the sand, so I can just see over the top. Of course that would be on a warm day in August! LOL! A tempting shot.

Give me a sand dune and a towel or a blanket...I'll while away hours given half a chance. This speaks to me:)

The backside of what's to be expected. A natural break. Great memory jog.

These little nooks and crannies are most pleasant to hide away!
