I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

This is so Tara! Glass. Color. Shapes. Textures. Everything just works perfectly. It's something she'd see, but then it's something you'd see too, and it's so perfectly captured. I love the colors, they're warm and inviting, and so full of life. This is what life should be all about you know: richness that isn't flashy or showy, just nicely layered with color, shape, and a kind of visual dance. Marvelous!

having been gone more than here (on RR), I never commented on a ton of art, and this was one I practically wrote the comment for in my sleep. It's a splendid & lush image, but strangely quiet & subdued at the same time. It has the quality of a dream but it's still very much 'with' us. The quality to the glass, its hue and almost metallic sheen, makes it seem an apparition; and the beautiful reddish tint to the trees & wooden wall (the structure in the far right, whatever it is) are beautiful. As is your toning-down the light behind it all. It makes it feel very intimate; and so though it's outside, it feels like a private chamber of the heart. A beautiful image for Tara, who catches glass & other things in very intimate ways; and from everything I've seen of yours, it's pure you. Beautiful work all around. You got an intimate essence & a very inward one too.
