Description
My other entry into the Greek mythology contest, Ailuros, the Greek name for the Egyptian goddess Bastet. I have to say I was really disappointed when I found the contest was for Greek mythology only; I have very limited interest in Greco-Roman culture. However, I found a loophole in that the Greeks worshiped the Egyptian goddess Bast(et) under the name Ailuros, the only thing they changed was making her a lunar deity instead of a solar deity (a sensible enough change when dealing with cats). So here she is, the "Greek" goddess Ailuros, goddess of the household, childbirth, perfumes and ointments, and the moon.

There are clearly some old Egyptian influences, for instance in the pose, and of course the clothing. The Greek influence is actually rather small. The pillars in the sides could be Egyptian also. In the later years Egypt was both under Greek and Roman rule, and the influence of these cultures in the Egyptian one must have been rather strong.

Beautiful poses and scene. It might've been more appropriate to show her under moonlight to show the Greek influence but this is fine.

It is a pity that it was only Greek, but you did a great job of adapting this to make it fit
