Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Something tells me you will be! haha... Great view from here, though. Excellent capture.

I must say that I was thrown by the thumb! I did see "pier" and couldn't figure out if you were on or under it!!! Hehehe... Above it is quite a change! Great POV!

I'm sure you weren't long getting there! Great shot!

This is an excellent!

I don't think I would like being on this one. Looks like it will fall down at any moment. Great shot. Aloha

Looks a tad rickety! I expect there will be an under one to follow!

That rock looks a little out of place for some reason and yet the pier does`nt lol :o)..Excellent Marilyn Mick

This is great. I feel like I'm up on a hill taking clandestine photos of a secret criminal rendevous point. Or maybe I've been watching too many Hawaii Five O reruns. Or maybe the pier on The Rockford Files. I need to get out more. This is a wonderful evocative shot. I love the way the very naturalistic pier blends in with the giant rock and the water and yet stands out a a bit of civilization as well. Nicely done.

Great POV and capture!

I would not trust that one at all. looks danger like. But that your middle name I hear. just kidding.

A positively peerless photo in this presentation of the pier, M! Somewhat skinny posts appear to support the structure, and the giant rock seems to be floating above the structure. Cool silhouetting with the foreground foliage, also.

Great shot looks a bit rickety but they do have a fork lift running around on it and they are heavy I know I sometimes drive them.. So cant be to bad.. Nice to have the above shot looks like low low tide, guess we will get a few under and on the pier shots too??

I'd say you are better off not being under this somewhat primitive one:) Cool.

Interesting shot of this place.... Aloha

I love this shot! I am surprised you were not on or under it myself, but it does look a wee bit shaky, which is probably isn't. What details and color and I love the sense of distance you've gotten. In short, this rocks. I'm especially interested in that little island out there!

maybe safer over than under...

Perfectly toy-like from here - not toy-like to the owner(s) I'm sure but you posted a thumbnail that really fooled me. Neat!

Sure has a rustic charm and a beautiful setting for your picture.

Love how the plants, in the foreground, frame your fantastic photo. I am also surprised to see a pier and pilings from this POV. I do think that I see a couple of ladders. :>) Very busy with all that “stuff” piled all over the place. Murky water and any idea, what all those things, floating in the water are. Kelp heads? Dana

LOL @ Corey! :P This is a great shot! From the thumb, I thought there was a weird, dark cloud hovering over the pier. This is great! The color of the water is amazing.
