Continuing the short series of rejected heavy metal website logos/banners... A different design has now been accepted. Anyway, this began life (unlife?) a different shape and colour and was rejected at an early stage. I came back to it after submitting the approved design because I liked where it was going - and because Mr Happy is such good fun to work with. The red texture is achieved very simply by shooting a bright red, low spotlight up at Mr Happy's regular texture. I like the fact that you can see his regular texture in the spotlight's shadows (it's a feature, not a bug).
