Description
Looking out of the cockpit of a B-52 at rows of aircraft that have seen their time past. Boeing Aircraft was first contacted by the Defene Dept to come up with a long range bomber capable of flying at 400 miles per hour and a extended range to deliver its payload. First flight of these old warrors was 1952. From the Cold War to the Gulf War, also used as a Mother ship to test new aircraft and help Nasa in the space program they have earned a place in aviation history. Today only two bases are active with these old birds, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota and Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisana. A speed of now of 650mph and range of 10,145 miles they are projected for service until 2040.

the pilots that fly them is only babies compared to the age of the proud birds.I use to enjoy seeing them landing and practice runs at Ft Worth.now they may have 2 or 3
