Description

Well, I think this is the last butterfly. I'll go through my files again, but I think I have uploaded the best ones already. I hope you enjoyed my little series. I don't know what it is about this shot, but I think it may be my favorite. It's hot here in Southern California. I think summer may have arrived. I'll sure miss the wonderful winter and spring weather we had this year. With the arrival of summer it is barbeque/grilling time! I have cleaned up the bbq and have been working on the back yard and patio. I am looking forward to sitting out there and soaking up some sunshine and even some moonshine. My previous upload, "Butterfly Five". Thanks for looking, commenting and faves. I look forward to your visits :) Well, I need to take care of some errands, so I will be signing off.... Have a wonderful Friday and weekend. Hugs, ~Melinda~

Terrific focal effects! The insect looks as close to being a butterfly version of Batman as you can get, in this fine foto, Melinda! And, what wonderful winter and spring weather did we have this year! I don't remember us having a wonderful winter and spring. Agreed, we had a few puny rainstorms, but that was it. Otherwise, twelve months of summer in So. Calif. Boring!

I like this immensely! I'll comment on the others in this series just as soon as I can get to them, but I have to say at least one thing about this one. I love the stark colors. Everything seems green, white, or black, which really focuses the attention as there are no other colors to distract you, and well...that's one flagrantly fantastic butterfly. Subtlety is not a butterfly trait, and that's one of the reasons I like them so much. I'm gonna have to go and find out what this little guy is. VERY nice work!
