Description
This scene reminds me of where I grew up in Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. There are many places like this around the Sound also in New York and New Jersey. I hope you enjoy it.
I would like to correct an error in omission I committed when I posted Mickey Rony's birthday wish. In my haste to post before midnight, I neglected to give credit to Howie Farkes for his Country Road and to Daz for the Mill. Horse and Foal. I'm surprised no one mentioned it, Howies work is fantastic and unmistakable, he is the all time master of Carrara.
Whooping Cranes by Ken Gilliland part of the Songbird Remix Shorebird Volume 1 collection from DAZ, the trees are mostly Xfrog except the foreground tree and that is from RDNA. The grass is all from Cornucopia.

I lived in Hightstown, New Jersey for 9 years. It's a pretty town, though being right between Philadelphia and New York City, it's right in the middle of the commuter belt. There are some beautiful areas there and it's a wonderful place to grow tomatoes. (My dad used to grow them in the backyard. Pure bliss!) This is beautiful! I love all the textures and colors in the grass! There are places where the mud shows through, places where it is thick, young and vigorous and others where it is pushed over and going to seed. Lovely highlights and reflections! Excellent reflection of the boat which the very marsh like vegetation around it. The boat looks lovingly made with wonderful detail. Someone loves this little boat! Superb composition, color (I love the brown tones throughout) and lighting. Great sky and whooping cranes! Beautiful image!
