I've been working on this a bit at a time since last weekend. It's finally finished :) Originally the background was more visible, but I liked how the darkness really enhanced the girl & the action taking place in the scene. In the book I'm currently reading there is a sentient artifact called the crystal shard. It's an evil artifact, but I liked how the writer detailed the relationship between the artifact and it's wielder. That is what inspired this image. In this scene, the mistress, a powerful magic user courts the Blade... a sword with a soul. the rights bond one to the other if they are worthy. Thanks for the views,comments, favorites and votes.
