Description
A sudden loud scream echoed from the tree top - My camera had been focus on this area for some time - Something was not right - Suddenly the bird on the right made an loud protest - and out of nowhere she in no uncertain terms - was letting the bird on the left know he was not welcome at that nest -
She continued the attach until the intruder was long gone - then calmly went back to the nest like nothing had ever happened !
Quite dramatic - I had been watching the rookery for several hour so luckily I was able to anticipate the event - It was fast and furious I was very lucky
Now that the babies have hatched - there is a slight bit of tension in the Rookery - But this type of event was unusually violent - The Rookery is a community type of environment - like an extended family if you will
