Description
Beloved Pan and all ye other gods who haunt this place, give me beauty in the inward soul; and may the outward and inward man be one. -Prayer of SocratesThis enchanting character does not inhabit the lore and legend of Spartacus; not, at least, as we now know it. It seems that when I opened the door to that era, in order to gather some notes, a broad cast of characters were waiting to pass through. When I look at some them it is almost as if they have been waiting a very long time to speak forth once again. Who am I to deny the request of a portrait from a historical figure such as this? So we pause a day from the sphere of Spartacus to sit and share some time with someone we did not know existed yesterday. And now that the door has been opened ... who can say where this shall lead. The journey has been rather interesting so far. I hope your weekend is flowing well and creatively! Terry

This is beautiful! She is sweet and charming with a hint of innocence! I get a sense that she may not have known Spartacus but she knew one man she wasn't supposed to know and knew him WELL! Even to go so far as to rebel against her own family just to be near him! Stunningly beautiful!!! ;D HUGS Lorie

The voices of the past call out to us. If we have the wit to hear them we gain so much. I like the post work treatment here, like a mural from a Roman villa.

You certainly captured the essence of her being, both in term of the time of her life and in the magical use of a soft wash of colors. It is a brave work, far removed from what we expect of works of poser.

Very nice portrait.

For me, Terry, she is of Pompeï.... She goes out of a dream still soaked with flame, with fire and with sacrificed beauty! This is characteristic hairstyle of the beautiful ladies of this time takes us far in the time(weather), far in the worship(cult) of perfection, far from time(weather) disappeared for ever. Thank you Terry for these beautiful sketches of the history(story)! Sorry for the translation

One gets the sense on is looking at a relic from ancient Pompeii - I like the feeling tones and that ancientness... :)
