Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

They guy keeping an eye on things reminds me of an elephant seal, only ceramic. I love it! I look forward to seeing zillions more of your garden shots (potted palm included) and well...this is just one of those really fun photos that had me zooming to see if there were any woodlice scampering around. Yeah, I like it!

I like it but how does he report in if he sees something amiss? ...:-D

Interesting assortment of stuff you have in your yard, M. With that expression, the creature appears to be either holding its breath, or ready to split a gut.

I'm with Chip with it looks like an elephant seal. Strange looking but cute in a funny way. I see the gecko has a vest on - maybe an car insurance salesman. :>) Dana

This is FUNNY! For some reason he sort of reminds me of Marty Feldman. Gee, I wonder why? Well, Marty Feldman with Jimmy Durante's nose anyway. Looks like he's keeping good watch. Perhaps you should give him a raise? Great shot.
