Description
Here is my very first bluetit, taken with my new zoom lens. I was sitting for a long time with my camera and NOT ONE freaking bird was showing up. Finally this little fellow came and I could try my lens out. This bluetit is a parent of a brood that just came out of a nesting box, my hubby put up outside my gallery in the early spring. That is why it looks a bit rumpled. It is so busy. :)

We have cloudy weather today, but it isnt raining anymore. I should say we got more than enough yesterday :)

I love new toys! New lenses are the perfect new toy and you've tried yours out with stunningly beautiful results! I can spend hours simply watching birds, or any other creatures for that matter. They're incredibly fascinating. What I like about birds is their ability to show how certain colors CAN go together, despite what fashion designers say! I love the details in this, especially the ruffled little feathers! This is a marvelous, energetic shot!
