Description
There's a tree outside my apartment that casts the most beautiful shade & hues. One day someone asked: "How would you describe that tree?" I said: "It's our resident Guardian Angel." Dave, you're that tree. All of you who know Dave know that friends, here, give him childhood-tales, and he walks with them for days (even weeks) till they bloom in him like bouquets. Then he makes an image---in Poser---to capture the magic of the tale; and he'll work just as hard to get the childhood-jewels out of it. They're Offerings, filled with the flame of our childhoods, for us all. Yet there's more: If you're ill, struggling or in pain, Dave will find a way to be there for you. It's amazing to meet person after person who says, "Dave helped me, Dave heard me". And how many of his friends have heard his oh-so dave-like, "if you have the time, please keep so-and-so in your prayers: She's struggling so..." Everytime you meet someone who knows Dave, they say: "Oh, he's amazing: He watches over us!" I'm not exaggerating. He always sees the light in you, and always seems to know what's in your heart. Dave, I know you've been through a lot---family illnesses, friends passed, even plain exhaustion. Well, I did my usual 'stuff' (lol) to make that tree shine like you. Just know that inside the image there's a tree as strong as the earth & flexible as the wind & which is beautiful and protective as a forest. I'm not telling people to ask more of you, lol: You need rest too! But I'm saying that for your eaves you have a field-full of grateful souls, and I'm one of them. For your constant caring & giving, a huge loud Happy Birthday, friend. I hope next year brings more light than you can handle! You're a real gem, a real jewel. OMG! This is incredible, Mark. Only YOU can make these wonders. You just overdid yourself again. This one is, I think, the tip top of the Marzipan Ring Cake. The most magnificent pleasure for the eye. I love how you made it look like reflections on the street, like it had just been raining. And a big waterfall coming from a big red ORB and ending in a sunny place and at last a aweet peaceful light. Another fantastic synphony. Not to mantion the wonderful and so true words, you wrote with all your heart. I adore this gift for Dave. He will too, no doubt. Happy Birthday Dave. :-)

It is a beautiful set of images, full of beauty and a uniqueness that is so like Dave. He is our Guardian Angel, a tree for all seasons, and many lean on him for support, as his branches reach out like open arms to all. Like you, he is one of the most gentle, caring people I've met here and I treasure his friendship, as well as the story art that is so special. Mark, everytime I suspect you've poured yourself out, "like a drink offering", you are ready and able to do it again. Wow. Seven fantastic frames makes this complete. Love the tree and the ever present light in your work...photos and words. How did I miss meeting Dave along the way? I'll have to visit his gallery and come to know him. Happy Birthday Dave:)

Mark, I am struggling so hard right now to express myself and get out what I'm feeling inside. Knowing me as well as you do you wouldn't think that could be a problem, but trust me it is right now after viewing the lovely work of art you created for me and your equally moving words of love and friendship you've shown me. You captured the beauty contained in this tree in these lovely images so well and you saw in it what most of us would have missed. That is what makes you so special Mark, and why you have touched my life in such a way I'll always be in your debt. Thank you my brother for this lovely birthday dedication, it truly is far more than I deserve. If you don't mind I'd love to share this wonderful dedi with all of my friends, for they are the one's who are deserving. They take time to share their most precious memories with me, and allow me a peak into what is a sacred part of their world, their childhood. I love the progression of this piece. The way the tree BECOMES itself through each of the panels ... does that even make sense? That's how I see it. The tree is absolutely authentic at every step, but it shows different sides of its personality, different depths and colors, different parts of its true self. You've brought out something very special in this. Beautifully done!

Everything you said is so absolutely true! Dave is one of the finest beings that I know and I am so grateful each day for him being a part of my life thru his big loving heart! How do I start? Wonderful, marvelous and so perfect for Dave! Trees, are such an image of generous caring and shelter from harm. Like Tara, I saw individual traits in each image. They are all traits that Dave personifies in abundance. In the first, I saw guiding light in the darkness when pain dulls the mind and spirit. In the second, focus and guidance when the bright glare of modern life throws the senses in a whirl. The third radiates with the joy of life and the wonder of sharing that joy. The fourth, ah Mark, the fourth! In the fourth the guardian angel within the tree begins to show its true radiant being. The boundaries of the tree and angel blur in beautiful and profound ways. I stared, transfixed, at this image for quite a while. Then the light and glory of the angel shine forth to blaze in glorious splendor before fading into the beautiful, calm, comforting peace of the sixth image. In the sixth, I see shelter, comfort and caring, and also playful light and gentle humor. Dave is a light in the world and he draws out the light of others. How lucky we are to have him with us here at renderosity!

I'm absolutely in awe of you Mark. Look what beauty you've created from what must've been a beautiful capture of the tree outside your home to begin with. This glows, and shines, it exudes light and love and strength and shelter. I love how it flows .. right to the last. Your words describing Dave are so true, and somehow reflect your gorgeous painting, and you, and your heart.

A brilliant display of colors and lights! Not only did I enjoy watching the transformation of the tree - but I really kept track of the little squares under the "wing" of the tree. I'm glad you could make this for Dave. The comparison is perfect.
