this feels like oil paint, but it also feels like paint on panel (on wood), and the sections seem to glow at the edges, as if there's a light behind them. Beautiful blues, beautiful reds, beautiful ochres & oranges. There seem to be footprints here, and you always, always know how to accent sections with black lines, with bright yellows, etc. You just know these things intuitively, you look, you know the black belongs there, and you paint it. Plus, you have a kind of "pulley," some kind of wheel with a rope or band on it, which gives us a concrete object in the midst of it all (and you have more of your metal meshes too). Your work is almost indescribable in the end, it creates a feeling of a carnival of organic shapes & hues, a montage of life mixed into a wonderfully modulated whole. Though these are often carnivals, they can also be quite subtle & thoughtful---as this is. And in the end, it's simply beautiful. More great work from you, one of our true masters.
