I think Claude19 recently mentioned I had posted around 104 skies.I never counted them
I dropped someone off at a mall in Mesquite and as I was leaving, I seen an interesting cloud bank, so I stopped in a parking place to grab it before it disappeared over the horizon.while I was shooting "the sky no less"!!!!the sky!!! a ignorant security guard pulled up and told me I can not take pictures on mall property.I said for crying out loud, it is the sky.after a few smart remarks he said I had to leave mall property
I will be back, but not to make any purchase there. if the same jerk sees me(jerk mall policy) he may call the local police.if it does happen I will notify every tv,radio station that will listen to me.I know it is their property but the stores sells cameras there.so, let's see.someone can spend their money to buy a camera, but if they step outside to shoot the sky,they face an arrest.a parent shooting their child riding the little train faces arrest? maybe the portrait studios may have to move because they are on mall property.no testing a camera before a purchaser leaves the premises.they maybe branded a criminal

Boy that guy is a jerk and the government there has obviously got everyone running scared on their so called terrorist thing.. A nice way to make the populist give up their freedoms and rights.. Next thing nobody will be allowed cameras or pens and pencil, as they might draw plans of the malls and government buildings.. Did you ring the mall management and find out their policies if that cameras are banned then tell them to remove the stores selling them lol. Well Richard, we live in a paranoid nanny nation.It is much easier to flex imaginary muscle toward a mall patron than to roust out a group of people hell bent on creating mayhem. I have encountered the over zealousness of "Mall Cops" as well. Nevertheless, your top secret picture of the sky is fantastically excellent. Super work, Agent 100!!!!!

It is a truly beautiful photo Richard and it is amazing that Claude counted the skies you've posted. Now let me say how blown away I am that some idiot would try to prevent anyone from using a camera on mall grounds. That not only sounds insane, but illegal as you pointed out people will take thousands of photos there all the time with everything from camera's to cellphones and what on earth could this mall have that requires such privacy. I'd march to the mall office and explain to (who ever is supposed to be in charge but apparently isn't) what happened and what your prepared to do. With times as tight as they are right now for malls I have a feeling they'll be seeking him out to apologize to you and explain himself to them.

Well I have to say your story with a security guy is quite outrages! I am not sure about the amrican law but I don't think he was right. You capture a sky what is belong to nobody. I would talk to his supervisor or the mall management about this and oh make sure you mentioned a your solicitor ( nobody will check it if you don't have one...lol) just to scare them a bit. They don't like to hear that, they don't want big news in a paper about some low little sec guy want to feel important. You captured a wonderful clouds and I realy like a gentle tone of gold with a blue.

Richard- I was in a stupid Walmart store with my camera taking photos of vegetables in the produce section because I have the theory that if one turnip is cool than 45 all grouped together may be cooler. Two security guards took me to their office and asked alot questions as to why and what I was doing. They informed me in semi-polite language to NEVER bring my camera anywhere near their property again. Hmmmmm... and beautiful sky shot.

I think it has happened to a lot of people who carry their cameras around, hoping for a great opportunity. Me too. The skies are awesome, most of the time I capture them "just for me", so I can remember the beauty.

You are falsely accused for using "their" camera? So I understand. My English is not good enough. Maybe in this case, I can be happy ;-).
