Description

'Fell weather wis the curse of Auld Dalriata during the Years of Mourning. The Torr Seat had blown its top, the sun was covered by ash clouds, and plants, animals and even children died in the long winters, and shortening growing seasons. By the grace of the Creator, with much prayer, and the move to other, farther out, deep ocean fishing grounds, the remaining folk survived, some say even thrived. Admittedly mony the family gang west o'er the Open Sea, ne'er to return. Summer did, fleetingly, sparingly appear, and then returned to take its rightful place in the turn of the seasons. God has returned to His people at last' PADRAIC'S ANNALS OF DOOM, Edwinsburra Press, Aidhean. Summer has returned to Scotland this year, with even the dreaded midges showing their presence. Days have lengthened, just before they are about to shorten ... ;o) ( typical Scotland ), and the hills are alive with the sound of tourists, an' all's right wi' t' world. Whether you are in the northern or southern hemisphere, I pray that you may enjoy the days which God gives us. Treat each as a special gift, and do not waste its opportunities ( even the midgies ). God bless you all. John.
