When the Wise Ones gathered every year in the lochlands of Pers Shire, they often experienced visions. During one of the Fell Changes, the year that Duke Dunnit disappeared walking along the ramparts of Castle Dunaibhenne, the Grey Master and his two apprentices were surprised by one of the fey creatures oft thrown onto the western shore of Dalriata, as it suddenly appeared and rushed through the undergrowth towards their sheltered picnic spot. This beast, fast of foot and strong of teeth, fangs and neck, nevertheless turned out to be as scared of the unearthly blue wizard fire as the wand wielders were, initially, of it. Tamed by Beastmaster Kyssauch the Old, this aptly named 'Spring Rapture' became known, for many years, as the inseparable guard beast of Duchess Mhairinne and her twin daughters ( but that is another tale entirely ).
