You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Ok, Jeff said "burfday" too---so is that a down-under phrase? (Your birthday's getting close! I knew about it before now, from past dedis.) You said, above, "I just couldn't resist a little photoshop tweaking". This ain't "tweaking," Brigitte, this is genuine transformation---"tweaking" doesn't give you enough credit! (Tweaking, to me, is upping the saturation a bit, toning down the light, whatever.) I love the cross weave of layered horizontals and verticals, an almost scraped wood effect. And how you cross them throughout the image. And then the layered "edges" around the sun, and what looks like flare that's been turned into little planets. And the sea below---I assume that's water (well, it's not snow)---also striated into edges. And a little pink creature just to the right of your signature---a little cellular thing inching its way up to Jeff's hat: I love it. I'm glad you didn't remove it, it's great. More creative photo work from you, and the overall blue tones are wonderful contrasts to the pinks and whites. (The horizontals and verticals also look like paint dripping down a wall. Or stained silk fabric...)

"burfday" - it's reminiscent to all our English friends, who cannot pronounce "birthday" ... ;)) (it's called taken: the pi.. or the mickey out of them, OZZIE humour!) BB
