Description

Captured 5/25/10, early in the morning, outside a school yard within walking distance of my recidivist residence. Don't bother zooming, it comes out the same size. Toodles, thankx for coming by, and for any and all complimentary comments and faves.

Nice and neat shot Harry. What I realy like in your street shots, the grass nicely cut no rubbish on the ground. Tidy neighbourhood.

Interesting how the perspective of the shadows change as they get closer to the camera. Dana

Thanks for sharing this perspective...shadows always lead the eye toward new things. In this case toward a vanishing point. Well seen and photographed.

I agree with bill & others. Another fine perspective shot from you, and I like how you give us lots of broad sidewalk in the bottom, so we can see it taper into the distance. The shadows are simple & eloquent too. And you captured the blanched grass too---didn't flinch from it: I like that. You must get sporadic rain, because parts of the grass are so yellowed. (It adds to the patterns here, even if it's not great for the grass to be that dry.) I always appreciate how you find the visual music wherever you are, because while you have no trouble shooting the extraordinary and visually lush, you always open yourself to the day to day, knowing that that's as much what photography is for. Another musical perspective shot from you. (Btw, my fav's have worked on & off, I have to go through them & fix them...so if you don't see any for a few days, it's only that. They disappeared several times in the last few weeks...I think I messed up my preferences...)

There is so much beauty in the way simple items are effected by the sun. Wonderful lines and shapes! I like the long narrow triangular shape formed by the shadow of the top railing and the sidewalk and the vertical lines made by the uprights and their shadows on the chain link fence. Striking image!
