Description
At the end of a photo session this family was very cooperative when the vivacious red head suggested they all jump from the log bench. This turned out to be one of their favorites.

This is so cool, Jodie, including the vignetting! How many times did they practice that jump? I hope they landed without mishap. As for summer, nice sentiment in this dedi, but since heat dissipates me, I prefer the early months of the year before July, instead.

like your athletic shots, this is all in motion yet it seems posed, and I've always been amazed at how you got that with such visual ease. The red haired young woman looks like someone you've photographed before, though she may not be. And the light inside the vignette is varied and sweet. (They used to call this effect "iris shots," lol, though there's no iris, and the area outside the vignette is still present, so it's really not an iris shot, just reminiscent of it.) Great expressions too. I don't know, I'm 61 and should be in decent shape, but if I jumped that high in the air & didn't come down just right, I might be laid up for a day. Hats off to some of your jumpers! This feels as natural as sunlight, and it's joyous too. Beautiful photograph, and very fitting for summer.
