Description

My daughter and her boyfriend lighting sparklers on the driveway to make a picture. I liked how focused they were and the way their bodies formed a circle.

beautiful light & dark & lighting on the two young souls. The way the light hits them is a quiet revelation. Lots of darkness around them: The Dutch masters, esp Rembrandt, would approve of that, as well as of the reddish-yellow hues that infiltrate their clothes and presence. Beautiful touches of red; and a gentle circle formed by the two of them, with the sparklers in the center. Their hair is beautifully caught too. A loving portrait of two people engaged in making light in the darkness. A very delicate photo.
