UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I love this view, and it was fun to follow your links back. One had another link even farther back, to a 360-degree pano. A most excellent series, no matter the time frame. Good stuff!

I bet the gardeners are 'for it' if they get it wrong. This shot draws you in and invites you to jump. Beautiful clear image.

This reminds me of a line I heard in a movie once. One lover spoke to his...well...his lover and said: "Last night, I had a dream that I'd climbed the world's tallest ladder. I don't know why I did it, or what I was climbing for but as I was miles and miles up, I looked down, and I saw you. You held out your arms, you smiled, and you shouted a single word to me. You shouted, jump." That line stuck with me and I don't even remember the frikkin' movie: something obscure and independent and probably very full of itself, but there you have it: a memorable piece of dialog evoked by this image! I love the asymmetry of it, the rich mind-saving green (humans can't live and remain sane without greenery.) Those stripes are quite astonishing, actually...something you can only see from so far up...yeah, you can see them from lower to the ground, but the effect is different...those are long distance stripes, meant to be seen from way the heck up! Marvelous, and this is a perfect, captivating capture. Really great work here!

Beautiful shot, Bill! With all the rain we've had here, that grass is sooo green! The precision of those lawn guys is pretty amazing - wonder if it's the same guys that do those fancy crop circles... I remember tossing a paper airplane off this tower when I was a kid. I think it ended up in Iowa somewhere... One can certainly get lost in this photo!

Man, what a exquisite landing and takeoff strip we have going here, Bill! Superlative clarity and DOF in this shot of what looks so architecturally and pristine beautiful.
