Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Brilliant, and I mean BRILLIANT, shot. i have remarked before how strange it is that Greengrocers the world over use the same type of lettering..weird!

Great shot! For me, I find they look so attractive but I absolutely cannot eat them. But every few years I buy one, cut it up and try eating a few pieces. I've never made it past the first bite. Last time I tried was a couple of years ago and it was the golden one I bought. They look so good and (to me only, it seems) taste so awful. It is so strange as I've never met anyone else like myself in regard to bell peppers and I really like spicy foods.

I'll take 3 of each please, Nice shot Bill, well done!!

GREAT CAPTURE I LOVE THE BRIGHT COLORS

Say now, those peppers look light years better than the ones I buy in my local markets. These look like they're made of polished plastic, but I bet they're tasty as all get out. And that's a good price for them, also. Ultra keen clarity, color and lighting (flash or high ISO?) in this capture of the Vitamin C-loaded veggies, Bill.

They look lovely and bright in this great capture.

so full of smiles as the colors shine warm hugs, Linda

Oh, this is absolutely hilarious! I won't even begin to tell you about three-chambered peppers and the mathematical commonality of...well...three-chambered peppers. Suffice it to say, Nature has a thing for those! And I'm bringing this up because of a snail shell (that, according to a discovery this morning, still had a living snail in it! That revelation came about due to rain.) Well, anyway...what a picture! And as I'm still feeling the percolation of all sorts of mathematical, scientific, and "poetic" thoughts based on...well...a snail shell on a wooden support, it's all quite amusing. Oh, it's already late and this is starting to be a very interesting night! In a good way. Anyway, as I ramble on, I must say that I'm quite taken by the sense of color and the sheen on those lovely peppers (Paprika as I've called them since living in Prague.) I love their color and their shape. They're deliciously supple, and yeah, I can see myself making stuffed peppers tomorrow! This is a superb shot! Quite appetizing!
