BIO
I went to Edinburgh College of Art in the seventies. I wove tapestries for years and paint in oils. I like photography, learning classical guitar and lacemaking. I enjoy cycling, walking, reading, films.

We have similar in Tulsa, just not 4 cm. - up to 2 cm. perhaps. They live in the holes they make (3/8 to 1/2 inch diameter) and don't socialize much that I've seen. Replaced a main beam in our carport this Spring because of their activity. another excellent lose-up.

Good close up of this whopper bee, Rozanne. My son's use of our verandah as his garden, has attracted a lot of orange-bottomed bees, which I had never seen before. Trawling the internet to identify it has so far proved negative. Unfortunately negative so far. Warm regards ( well 23C or so ), John.
