Description

The bog moon of Rishfarin is the home to the insect-like species known as the Fahreen. Formerly a primary world in the Empire of Many Suns, the Fahreen have reclaimed control of their world, and the invaluable jumpgate in high orbit, as well as a good chunk of the Empire once controlled by the Mogg'theran. Rishfarin is known to be a brutal world with high amounts of methane and sulfer gas in an otherwise breathable atmosphere. It is said to be teeming with megafauna: lifeforms of gigantic size. But very few outsiders are allowed to the surface, and given rumors about the planet and the almost universal disdain for the Fahreen, not that many people are trying to get there. But the orbital space above Rishfarin is one of the trade hubs of known space. Not only is one of the 10 Imperial Jumpgates located here, but the four giant "shield stations" the Fahreen built to defend the gate are massive trade centers and the point of sale for the Fahreen mercantile empire. The Fahreen trade three things primarily: weapons, ships (typically warships) and slaves. As such, the Shieldstations are also a place where mercenaries, pirates and slave traders congregate... Planet, moon and stars created in GIMP 2.6. Used DOGA-L3 and Carrara to model and texture the ships and space stations (the shieldstations and jumpgate station were done entirely in carrara).
