Description


This beautiful bug was photographed at the hotel where I was staying in El Castillo which is next to Arenal Volcano, Costa Rica. This was the first time I had seen such interesting and beautifully colored animal. Unfortunately I have no idea what it is. Can you help me identify this creature? Cool insect. Great looking head on this thing. Not sure what it is, but I would lean towards a type of plant hopper. Nice shot.
