If we can take one of those doors..." Dokka Tkarro snapped his fingers,"GOT IT!" He turned to Hostess,"Listen here! Contact 'Comes-the-Dawn' and tell him to blow out the big doors in the scrapped airlock with the side blown out on the Spin-Decoupler we just left from! We can carry it to the big hole and weld it into position if he acts quickly!" She looked shocked and nodded. Violet said,"I'm downloading welding data on the hull of the space-habitat and airlock doors. I believe we can actually join them together. We just need a variable frequency laser with more than a gigawatt output!" Zeelob said from the weapons console,"Captain! The Skipjack shuttle has that!" He looked over as Dokka put a hand on the Helmsman seat."We can grab the metal sheet with our Relative-Inertial-Frame field, and then hold it in place while Violet takes over the Skipjack remotely to do the welding! She's our most expert welder from the 'welder's club'!" Captain Tkarro smiled. "This might actually work! Amma? You catch that?" Over the communicator, Lieutenant Amma responded,"AYE,SIR! I'm already on location with Jalisco. Ready for remote piloting." Helmsman Floona said,"There they go! I'll catch one!" Dokka looked up and saw the huge airlock doors float away from the Ring City in orbit around Tapponok. The Nautilus surged into action. She swept up to the plate and barely touched it. She snapped the field around it and rotated it around it around and fired the tachyon jets into life. Violet asked,"Why not the Sub-light engines? Why are you venting plasma through the FTL jets?" Floona said while she sweated,"Vibration free! the Sub-Light engines have a very slight vibration to them. This is more precise! Captain--ETA at hole, ONE MINUTE!" He looked shocked. When ever she said something like that, she was exact to within a second. He had to ask,"Can you do this safely?" She nodded. "I'd be quicker, but that damned door weighs close to a million tons! The ship handles like a freighter right now." She played her console like a musical instrument and she was a virtuoso. Violet watched Floona pilot as if she was performing a miracle. Violet read off,"Other shuttle craft are guiding us in. We have a live feed from Tapponok control. 'Comes-the-Dawn' tells us that their repair fleet ETA is seventeen minutes! Lord Glaen of Erhlu has HALTED the off-spinning axis! The Ring-City is no longer in danger of tearing apart if we can plug that hole before King collapses." Dokka asked,"Hole updates?" Violet said,"Snowflake has the 200 meter wide hole plugged with ice. It's good for ten more minutes until the sunlight hits it. She can keep it frozen for another five minutes after that. Rose say, she's not certain about King! QUOTE-HE'S SWEATING WITH STRAIN!-UNQUOTE! He's still healing back and not as strong!" Floona said,"Here we go! Violet, get ready!" She touched some controls and said,"Contact!" There was no sound, just an alteration of the RIF field. Violet read the contact information and took over the Shuttle and started welding. Perro said quietly,"A machine-life could NOT do a better flying job,Captain. That was just AWESOME!" Dokka Tkarro nodded."She surpasses her own legend!" Floona blew a rude noise. "Oh PUH-LEASE! Wait...I HAVE a legend?" Zeelob whispered to her,"We're ALL legends in our own minds!" She rolled her eyes,"Captain! Please punch this fellow for me! He's interfering with my job!"
