Description

Not a great bug to find on your lilies. There was a pair mating on this flower bud of my Regale in full sun. The way only red bugs do, safe in their warning colour from most predators. The second of the pair is just visible going around the bud out of sight ( camera shy ). I seem to think Andrea has posted these before, sadly we get them up here too!

A superbly sharp macro of the little blighters! They are so good-looking but... reminds me of that film title 'The Devil Wears Prada!' And another similarity, their babies cover themselves in their own poo!

Super shot of a beautiful garden pest. Get your ear close and you can here them squeak to each other!. And as Durlybeachbum points out, the larvae disquise themselves as bird poo. I have had to keep squashing them between my fingers - urgh.
