Description

I have shot this very open aperture to give a tiny DOF and it is very macro. I loved the impressionist look so it is as shot. I didn't even lighten it, the darker exposure made the white flower glow. Counterpoint and all that stuff! You should now know it is Gypsophelia or Baby's Breath as it is known. The individual flower is the size of a very small pea. I'm sure you all guessed right! I was so surprized myself when I put my macro lens on one of the tiny flowers, so wondered if anyone ever looks at them closely?

I wouldn't have guessed these were gypsophelia, and I have never seen them looking so good, as you tend to look at the whole head and not the individual. They look so lovely and soft in this capture.
