You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Fantastically impressive composition and lighting Brigitte ... at least that's how Jeff referred to you in your birthday dedi. :-) Hmmm ... seems the thrill is gone between these two. LOL Well guess I'll get back to my summer here ... about 41C today. :-( I'll gladly trade seasons with you. LOL

Wow---first of all, those are great clay figurines. Are those yours? I mean, did you make them? If so, you're a terrific sculptor! But I assume they're not by you, only because I assume you'd say so if they were. (I mean, you'd want people to know, right?) Anyway, whoever made them, you've once again taken a household shot---two figurines under a lamp, right?---and turned it into a terrific original design. I love the light casting a deep yellow on the image. And the spoke-like shadows---like this were an umbrella. And the positions of the figurines, with one right in our face, and the other standing behind (an arguing couple). And your pov, where we're looking down on them from above. It's very creative, Brigitte! You have a way of throwing angles at us that we never expected---making it a dramatic scene, for something that's so much fun...Really fine work, and the bright yellow goes so well with that clay-red. (The woman has an almost buddha-like hair-bun---they look like they might come from one of the southern Asian countries where Buddhism is practiced. Either that, or they're African.) I love it.

Yes, they are actually from Africa, Mark - well observed ! BB
